Kim Davis has a self proclaimed history of being swayed to decisions by others. She has previously stated in her campaigning that she became a prosecutor because someone asked her to. She has also stated that someone approached her about running for judge, so she moved to Moore County to run at their request.
How long before someone starts using her susceptibility to external influence to sway her rulings? Is there any doubt that the district attorneys office or certain campaign contributors with fraud allegations are already counting on exactly that.

In fact, one only needs look at the attached court document where District Attorney Mike Hardin has allegedly made claims that he already has one judge to do his bidding, so now he’s trying to add a second one.
How Does This Affect Me?
Judges are meant to be neutral arbiters of the law—not extensions of the prosecution.
Yet Kim has publicly stated that she will “always side with law enforcement and the prosecution.” That alone should concern every voter, because a district court judge does not preside only over criminals. They preside over all of us—ordinary citizens who may find themselves in court for something as simple as a traffic citation.
Imagine walking into a courtroom with evidence proving your innocence, only to face a District Attorney on one side and a judge on the other who was effectively handpicked by that same office. In that courtroom, justice is no longer blind, and the outcome feels predetermined.
An independent judiciary is not optional—it is essential. Any candidate who openly pledges allegiance to one side of the courtroom undermines the very foundation of fairness our courts depend on.
Our district deserves judges who will uphold the law impartially, protect due process, and treat every person who appears before them equally—no matter who is standing at the other table.
